Iron Gym Pull Up Bar
Although the Iron Gym Pull Up Bar is a simple piece of equipment there are many different types of uses you can put it to.
If you thought that pull ups were just pull ups then you´d be very much mistaken as there are a number of different types of pull ups that you can do.
Today I´ll concentrate on the “Active Power Shoulders” part of the pull up routines.
This state is achieved when, at the bottom of the pull up, the shoulders are shrugged together and as close to the ears as you can get. At the top of the pull up the shoulders should then be pulled back as far as you can. Ensuring that the shoulders are “active” in these phases of the pull up gives you a longer motion meaning more of a work out and, in the long run, more power. Trying to keep a smooth motion at the same time eases the load and will protect the muscles as you exercise.
Later I´ll tell you about the “kipping” routine and using the shoulders in the method outlined above will facilitate a smoother transition for this – keep watching this space for more information.
Don´t forget the Iron Gym Pull Up Bar is ideal for these excercises – it stores away simply but you can be ready to exercise in just a few minutes – great when you have that odd five minutes to spare!!
